As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and optimizing our data ecosystem. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing, constructing, testing, and maintaining data architectures such as databases, data warehouses, and large-scale data processing systems.
- Designing and developing data pipelines/systems for data modelling, mining, and production.
- Leveraging programming languages and tools to clean and process raw data, making it ready for descriptive and predictive modelling.
- Improving data quality, reliability, and efficiency through innovative solutions.
- Optimizing core database stored procedures using batch job and Java scripts.
skills and experience required
We're looking for a proactive and collaborative individual with excellent communication and time management skills.
- 3 years of experience in data architecture, data warehousing, data modeling, data processing, and ETL/ELT.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Database Administration.
- Experience with Kubernetes-based DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and microservices deployment.
- Strong working knowledge of Oracle SQL/PLSQL for database development.
- Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL for data aggregation, cleaning, and processing.
- Familiarity with the AWS cloud environment and solutions such as Redshift, S3, EC2, and Athena.
- Hands-on experience with data crawling, data lake formation, and data warehouse construction.
Experience with Java, Hadoop, Apache Spark, and Apache Airflow will be a plus, as will any related certifications in data science or machine learning
