As a Senior Data Scientist, you will serve as the technical lead and architect for mission-critical AI/ML initiatives within a vital financial operations domain. This high-visibility role requires you to tackle complex business challenges and deliver substantial commercial value by:
- Pioneering Predictive Systems: Designing, building, and productionizing sophisticated predictive models to accurately assess default risk, forecast nuanced payment behaviors, and dynamically optimize financial limits.
- Driving Advanced Analytics: Leveraging deep statistical and machine learning techniques for comprehensive customer risk profiling, segmentation, and anomaly detection.
- Enabling Strategic Growth: Providing robust data exploration and delivering actionable insights that fuel effective marketing campaigns and strategic business decisions across the enterprise.
- End-to-End Ownership: Taking full responsibility for model performance, governance, and deployment from initial concept through to live production systems.
skills and experience required
- Machine Learning & Statistical Modelling Mastery: Extensive, hands-on experience with techniques including linear regression, GLMs, time series forecasting, advanced supervised learning (e.g., gradient boosted trees, neural networks), segmentation, clustering, design of experiments, and causal inference.
- LLMs & Generative AI: Practical experience with Large Language Models, including: fine-tuning and evaluation (e.g., GPT, LLaMA), advanced prompt engineering, red-teaming for robustness, and production performance monitoring.
- SQL (Advanced Querying) and Python (for ML and analysis).
- Experience with distributed computing frameworks like Spark (PySpark).
- Familiarity with large-scale data ecosystems (Hadoop/Hive) and cloud data platforms like Databricks.
