We are seeking an experienced and meticulous Decommissioning Engineer to join a world-class pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Tuas. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and executing the safe, compliant, and systematic retirement of process equipment and utility systems. This is a critical 6-month contract role ensuring all decommissioning activities adhere strictly to global GMP standards and site safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution: Plan, coordinate, and oversee the physical decommissioning, isolation, and dismantling of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and utility systems.
GMP & Quality Compliance: Author, review, and manage formal Change Controls, impact assessments, and decommissioning protocols in alignment with Quality Assurance (QA).
System De-validation: Formally retire validated systems, ensuring all instrumentation is de-registered from site databases (e.g., SAP) and data/software configurations are securely archived.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Supervise third-party contractors and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) during execution, ensuring strict adherence to timelines and safety.
EHS Alignment: Conduct hazard assessments and ensure all lines/equipment are thoroughly decontaminated and verified safe before disposal or relocation.
Skills and experience required
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in Validation, Qualification, Commissioning, or Decommissioning Engineering within the biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
Regulatory Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory compliance standards.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with pharmaceutical process equipment (e.g., bioreactors, purification systems, filling lines) and clean utilities (WFI, Pure Steam).
Soft Skills: Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills to drive the project to completion within the 6-month window.
Availability: Must be able to commit to the full contract duration from July to December 2026.
