They have recently secured significant fresh capital specifically to accelerate their expansion across Asia. Their strategy is simple: to offer a high-touch, specialist alternative to the major broking houses. They have established Singapore as their regional HQ and are now building a core team of senior specialists to lead the market.
The Role This is not a standard "processing" role. We are looking for a Market-Facing Placement Strategist.
You will take ownership of placing complex Financial Lines risks (D&O, PI, FI, and Cyber) into the Singapore and London specialty markets. The portfolio includes some of the region’s most challenging accounts, meaning you won’t just be forwarding slips—you will be technically architecting the deal.
You will work in a flat structure where you have direct access to global leadership, giving you the autonomy to make decisions quickly and trade without unnecessary red tape.
Key Responsibilities
... Lead the Placement: Design and execute the placement strategy for large-cap and mid-market Financial Lines accounts.
Technical Advisory: Review policy wordings and draft bespoke clauses to ensure clients have the most robust coverage available.
Market Negotiation: Leverage your relationships with senior underwriters to secure competitive terms, even in a hardening market.
Stakeholder Management: Act as the technical voice in client meetings, explaining complex coverage nuances in simple commercial terms.
Deal structuring: Work closely with the origination team to build "winning" submissions that get the attention of the best capacity providers.
Skills & Experience
Specialist Knowledge: You must have deep technical experience in Financial Lines (Directors & Officers, Professional Indemnity, Cyber, or Financial Institutions).
Market Reputation: You are well-known to underwriters in the Singapore market (and ideally London) as a broker who understands the technical details of a risk.
Commercial Mindset: You enjoy the "art of the deal" and can spot opportunities to improve coverage or pricing that others might miss.
Agility: You thrive in environments where you can move fast. You prefer picking up the phone to solve a problem rather than sending a long email chain.
