... - Research & Analysis: Author and publish high-impact, independent research reports and proactive analysis for our institutional and corporate customers.
- Client Relationship Management: Act as a primary point of contact, building and nurturing deep, trusted relationships with key clients and the management teams of companies under coverage.
- Advisory & Service: Deliver exceptional service and position yourself as an expert business partner through high-quality insights, conference calls, and dedicated meetings.
- Business Development: Proactively market your research findings and investment ideas to internal and external stakeholders, including presenting at analyst roadshows.
- Corporate Access: Spearhead the organization and execution of corporate roadshows.
- Internal Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Sales, Trading, and other internal divisions to support capital market transactions and strategic initiatives.
- Opportunity Identification: Continuously monitor sector developments to identify emerging trends and new business opportunities for the bank.
- Mentorship: Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor, guiding junior analysts and contributing to the team's technical leadership.

skills and experience required
- Seasoned China economist or analyst with a strong portfolio of high-impact macroeconomic and policy research.
- Expert-level insight into China's economy, markets, and regulatory environment, with a clear ability to connect domestic trends to the global outlook.
- Adept at interpreting China’s policy signals and translating them into actionable implications for global markets and multinational corporations.
- Proficiency in data analysis, econometric modelling, and crafting clear, data-driven narratives and reports.
- A strong communicator, capable of articulating complex analysis and its implications clearly to both international and Chinese-speaking audiences.
- A strong collaborator with proven experience navigating global teams and liaising with government or regulatory bodies.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin (written and verbal) is required to engage effectively with key Chinese stakeholders, clients, and officials.
- Availability for regular travel to China to drive business objectives and maintain key relationships.
