Key Responsibilities
Partial Discharge (PD) On-Site Testing
- Perform PD testing on HV assets (switchgear, transformers, cables).
- Use PD equipment: acoustic, thermal, UHF, TEV, HF sensors.
- Operate PD analysis software and follow IEC/IEEE standards.
- Record test data: readings, conditions, asset info and generate field test reports.
Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) Site Work
- Supervise electrical installation work to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Read and interpret single-line diagrams.
- Oversee installation of LV switchgear, distribution boards, and wiring.
- Perform switching operations on LV systems.
- Diagnose basic electrical faults.
- Submit reports and diagrams to EMA/SPPG.
Work Conditions
- 70% field work, 30% work-from-home.
- No office attendance required.
- Work sites include substations and commercial/industrial facilities.
- High responsibility role with focus on safety and compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- 1+ years of experience with PD and/or LEW.
- Training will be provided for those without experience.
- Able to work independently and outdoors.
- Comfortable with hands- on physical tasks and flexible hours (Inc. Weekends/PH).
Bonus Skills
- Ability to read Python code.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar software.
