About the JobAs the Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the attainment of regional sales objectives by maximizing the effectiveness, skills, and productivity of the field sales team. This is a highly collaborative, people-focused leadership role divided into three key strategic focuses: conducting regularly scheduled field visits to coach, motivate, and appraise Sales Representatives and junior engineering personnel on technical service delivery; analyzing complex sales data to interpret market trends, identify new business opportunities, and optimize territory targets; and managing cross-functional initiatives while overseeing regional service contracts, spare parts inventory, and ISO 13485 compliance. Additionally, you will perform high-precision installations, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and rapid troubleshooting down to board level for complex imaging modalities (such as CT, MRI, X-Ray, and Ultrasound), maintaining strict adherence to local Health Sciences Authority (HSA) regulations and radiation safety standards. Skills and Experience Required
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- 2-5 years of hands-on field service experience servicing medical equipment within a clinical or hospital environment.
- Direct technical experience with diagnostic imaging modalities (e.g., CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-Ray, or PACS/DICOM systems integration).
- Strong electromechanical, electronic, and software troubleshooting capabilities.
- Knowledge of local regulatory frameworks (HSA requirements, radiation safety guidelines) and quality systems (ISO 13485).
- Excellent client-facing communication skills, with the ability to maintain composure in high-stakes clinical settings (e.g., operating theaters, emergency departments).
- Flexibility to participate in an on-call rotation schedule for high-priority emergency support.
