about the role
As the Financial Reporting Manager / Senior Manager (APAC), you'll be a leader in the financial reporting team, working closely with the Head of Financial Reporting. This isn't just a reporting role; it's a strategic position where you'll be a focal point for accounting and audit matters across the entire APAC region. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of consolidated financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders. You'll lead technical accounting discussions, oversee month-end closing activities, and be the main point of contact for all internal and external audits. Beyond the day-to-day, you'll also be instrumental in improving and standardizing accounting policies and systems, partnering with various internal and external groups to drive efficiency and compliance.
skills and experience required
The ideal candidate is a highly skilled finance professional with a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy and, preferably, a CPA or ACCA professional qualification. They're seeking someone with a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience, with a background in a Big 4 accounting firm and experience in group audit management and a listed company being highly desired. You should have extensive knowledge of US GAAP and SFRS(I), as well as prior experience with SEC and SOX reporting. Just as important as your technical skills are your soft skills. You must possess strong business partnering, stakeholder management, and communication skills to effectively liaise with people at all levels and with various external parties like auditors and tax agents. This role requires someone who can not only apply accounting knowledge but also offer practical solutions to complex business scenarios.
