Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the General Ledger, including the accurate and timely execution of month-end and year-end closing processes, posting complex journal entries, and performing detailed balance sheet reconciliations. The position ensures compliance with local accounting standards (SFRS) and tax regulations (GST), serves as the primary contact for the annual external audit, and manages intercompany balances and daily cash flow, while also driving continuous process improvements and system optimization within the finance function to support the fast-paced regional trading operations.
Skills and experience required
- Degree in Finance/Accounting, or related field with professional accreditation is a plus
- Relevant years of accounting experience with a focus on the General Ledger function.
- Experience within a commodity trading, energy, or multinational enterprise is advantageous.
- Any proficiency in using major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills would be highly desirable
- Strong analytical skills and extreme attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with internal stakeholders and external auditors
