about the job
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of trade commodity finance professionals.
- Develop and execute the strategic plan for the Trade Commodity Finance business, focusing on sustainable revenue growth, market share expansion, and risk-adjusted returns.
- Identify, originate, and structure complex, high-value trade and commodity finance transactions.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, commodity traders, producers, financial institutions, and internal stakeholders.
- Actively identify and cross-sell the bank’s broader product suite to the bank’s clients.
- Oversee the entire deal lifecycle, from origination and due diligence through to structuring, execution, and portfolio management.
- Ensure all transactions comply with internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and international trade laws.
- Oversee the management of credit risk, operational risk, and legal documentation associated with the commodity finance portfolio.
- Work closely with Credit, Legal, and Compliance teams to maintain a sound and compliant business environment.

You will be tasked to lead a high performing team of professionals and report directly to the Country Lead.
skills/experience required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Banking & Finance, Business Management, Economics, Engineering or related
- 12+ years of experience in Trade and Commodity Finance, with a significant portion in a leadership or P&L-responsible role at a major financial institution
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders.
