As a key contributor within the technology operations group, you will hold end-to-end ownership for the management of high-impact technology incidents affecting business functions. Your responsibilities will include leading swift resolution efforts, establishing clear command and control during critical outages, and coordinating effectively with diverse technology and business stakeholders to minimize service disruption. A core part of your role will involve driving comprehensive problem management, identifying root causes, and implementing preventative actions to enhance overall service stability. You will be instrumental in ensuring accurate incident documentation, detailed reporting, and strict adherence to established operational policies and standards. This fast-paced role demands exceptional communication skills and the ability to maintain composure under pressure.
skills and experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- ITIL certification is a mandatory requirement for this role.
- Bring a minimum of 8-10 years of experience managing complex IT initiatives in a matrix environment, or a proven track record as an Operational Line Manager.
- Strong understanding of application support and familiarity with end-of-day (EOD) batch processing.
- Foundational knowledge of infrastructure components (like storage, networking, and Unix/Linux environments) and proficiency in web/application/middleware services.
- While not essential, knowledge of payment system flows would be a plus.
- You should be proficient in data analysis, using reporting tools (including advanced Excel and PowerPoint), and experienced with various ticketing systems.
