The Role
This is a critical, newly-created leadership position. You will be responsible for building, leading, and developing the BrokerEnablement team—the operational engine that drives broker performance, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
This is a hands-on role that combines strategic team leadership with day-to-day collaboration. You will mentor your team while working directly with specialist brokers and internal stakeholders to ensure the seamless execution of all operational processes.
Your Responsibilities
... Team Leadership & Development: Build and manage the Broker Enablement team, setting clear KPIs, SOPs, and performance targets. Mentor and coach team members to foster a high-performance, collaborative culture.
Process Optimisation: Act as the primary driver for continuous improvement. You will identify operational bottlenecks, streamline broker-to-ops workflows, and implement scalable solutions (including automation) to enhance efficiency.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the key operational partner for senior brokers, underwriting teams, compliance, and finance.
Operational Excellence: Oversee core broking operations, ensuring flawless execution, data integrity, contract compliance, and adherence to service standards.
Reporting & Analytics: Develop and track key operational metrics, delivering actionable insights to senior management to support strategic decisions.
Ideal Profile
5+ years of experience in insurance operations, broker support, or underwriting operations.
2+ years of proven experience in team leadership, management, or senior-level mentoring.
Strong knowledge of the commercial/specialty insurance ecosystem (Lloyd’s market experience is a significant advantage).
A proven track record of identifying and implementing successful process improvements; a Lean or Six Sigma mindset is highly desirable.
Exceptional analytical skills and a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels.
Resilient, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset.
Technical proficiency in core broking systems (e.g., Eclipse, PPL) and the MS Office Suite.
