This role is critical for driving the in-house automation and digital transformation of our core investment and operations processes. The specialist will be responsible for implementing strategic code-based solutions (primarily using SQL and Python) while also managing the day-to-day IT needs, hardware, and vendor relationships across our Singapore and Japan entities.

Automation and Development
- Design, code, and implement in-house automation solutions (scripts, GUIs) using Python and SQL to streamline manual tasks, beginning with the trading desk and operational workflows.
- Modernize data workflows from current Excel-based processes to a more robust, automated structure. This includes ensuring important data sets are smoothly uploaded to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for use in tools like Looker Studio and for data cleansing.
- Review and refine existing processes, identifying opportunities to move away from legacy methods, with the goal of improving the speed and fine-tuning of current operations.
- Proactively analyze current firm performance and processes to provide recommendations for automation and efficiency gains.
IT Infrastructure and Vendor Management
- Handle the company’s general IT needs, including managing office hardware and acting as the primary liaison with external IT vendors for phone, network, firewall, and L1/L2 support.
- Effectively instruct and oversee the work of third-party IT vendors, ensuring all support and infrastructure needs are met across the SG and JP offices.
- Manage and maintain company hardware and office IT environment.
- Provide support for daily operational BAU tasks as necessary, fulfilling the double-headed nature of the role.
skills and experience required
1–3 years of experience in a role requiring coding, data analysis, or IT support. Candidates with a software/coding skillset who are willing to take on hardware scopes and vendor management are highly encouraged.
Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for development and automation.
High proficiency in Excel (understanding that certain current processes rely on it). Familiarity with cloud environments, particularly GCP (Google Cloud Platform), Looker Studio, or equivalent data cleansing/visualization tools.
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with both technical vendors and non-technical business/investment staff (including the COO and PMs in Singapore and Japan).
