about the role
to provide technical leadership and oversee hardware design activities for advanced railway signalling projects. This role involves managing design deliverables, ensuring compliance with international standards, and guiding a team of engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
about the job
- lead hardware design for signalling systems, including CBTC projects.
- prepare and review detailed design documents such as wiring diagrams, bonding plans, cable core plans, and power distribution schematics.
- perform electrical load and power consumption calculations.
- supervise and mentor hardware design engineers, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.
- coordinate design reviews, audits, and technical workshops with stakeholders.
- ensure compliance with relevant standards (EN 50126/50128/50129, IEC 61375, IEC 60204).
- support installation, integration, and commissioning phases as a senior technical point of contact.
knowledge and skills
- degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
- minimum 7 years of experience in railway hardware design or similar safety-critical environments.
- at least 2–3 years in a technical leadership role with proven project delivery experience.
- strong proficiency in hardware documentation and design principles.
- familiarity with CBTC systems and international railway standards.
- excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
