about the job Based in Singapore, this role offers the chance to transition from managing risk to delivering market solutions for a diverse portfolio of Asian and global shipowners. Your key responsibilities will include:
Client Advisory: Serving as the lead subject matter expert for key clients in the region, translating complex P&I and marine liability issues into actionable, clear risk strategies.
Program Structuring & Placement: Designing, negotiating, and placing comprehensive P&I programs, using deep club knowledge to secure optimal coverage terms that suit the specific needs of Asian fleets.
Market Negotiation: Utilizing your unique insights into the underwriting process to lead effective negotiations with the International Group of P&I Clubs and fixed-premium markets.
Strategic Growth: Contributing directly to the development of the marine liability portfolio by building relationships with prospective clients across Asia and creating innovative broking strategies.

skills and experience required To succeed in this role, you must bring significant expertise gained from the P&I environment, including:
Proven experience as an Underwriter, Claims Director, or Senior Executive within the International Group (IG) of P&I Clubs or a significant fixed-premium marine liability insurer.
Expert-level knowledge of P&I club rules, IG Pooling arrangements, reinsurance structures, and advanced claims handling procedures.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of building consensus with both sophisticated clients and market leaders across different cultures.
Skilled negotiation capability and a mindset suited to business development and building long-term, trust-based client relationships.
