Our client, a leading chemical distributor, is hiring a Material Planner cum Logisttics to ensure the efficient and effective fulfillment of customer orders. In this position, you'll be require to liaise closely with suppliers, commercial teams and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations across Asia Pacific.

about the job
- Optimize inventory levels to prevent deficits and reduce overstocking, ensuring efficient material flow.
- Drive advanced demand forecasting using analytics to enhance automation and provide insights that support customer service team understanding.
- Manage the end-to-end order process, including generating purchase orders based on demand forecasts and inventory targets, while factoring in cost, lead times, and supplier performance.
- Lead supply chain risk management, proactively identifying potential disruptions and developing robust contingency plans.
- Champion continuous improvement by analyzing and refining materials planning processes to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
- Utilize data analysis tools and software to enable data-driven decision-making in materials planning.
- Serve as the central communication point across all functions, maintaining clear cross-functional alignment and driving the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
skills and experience required
- Diploma in any discipline
- Preferably candidates with at least 5 years of end-to-end supply chain and material planning experience
- Well-versed in Excel and seafreight operations
