key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive sales and inventory plans for each store and department, ensuring alignment with the overall operating strategy.
- Manage departmental and category-level open-to-buy plans, identifying potential risks and growth opportunities to achieve sales objectives.
- Oversee inventory procurement during seasonal markets and in-season purchasing to meet monthly and annual turnover targets.
- Lead style and SKU-level planning for replenishment programs, ensuring optimal product availability.
- Collaborate closely with the buying team to create location-specific product assortment strategies.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including Finance, to maintain accurate monthly sales, margin, and KPI forecasts.
- Monitor and adjust store-level sales forecasts and KPIs to align with top-line sales goals.
- Design, update, and maintain weekly and monthly reporting templates and analytical tools.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of weekly and monthly sales performance by category and style to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Coordinate with various teams to manage the promotional calendar, ensuring that sales targets are met.
- Oversee and communicate seasonal markdown strategies, assessing their impact on sales and profit margins.
qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in any field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in merchandise planning
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and familiarity with planning and reporting systems - Pivot table and Vlookup is a must
- Strong analytical skills, with a solid understanding of retail mathematics.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building strong cross-functional relationships.
