- Manage a diverse middleware environment, including platforms such as Apache Tomcat, Kafka, IBM WebSphere, IBM MQ, Oracle Weblogic, and JBoss.
- Ensure all middleware platforms and messaging systems meet industry-specific regulatory standards, security policies, and risk management requirements.
- Oversee vulnerability management activities, including security patch deployment, CVE remediation, and coordinating penetration testing.
- Manage disaster recovery and business continuity planning for critical middleware infrastructure.
- Perform root cause analysis for production issues and provide timely status reports to management.
- Lead technical projects from initiation to completion, providing regular progress updates and escalating any slippages or issues to management immediately.
- Manage software inventory and license renewals for middleware products.
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, database, and application teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal system performance.
- Develop and maintain middleware architecture and integration documentation, ensuring all records are current and accurate.
- Provide basic knowledge of cloud middleware services, such as Azure Service Bus, as an added advantage.
Skills and experience required
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in middleware/integration platform development and operations.
- Experience in JBoss (Red Hat), Message Brokers, Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIHS).
- Extensive knowledge of middleware integration, API development, queue optimization, and system connectivity.
