Lead architecture and implementation of secure, scalable hybrid cloud solutions for clients, with a primary focus on Singapore Government agencies using commercial cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba Cloud).
Design and implement comprehensive cloud security controls, covering identity and access management, data protection, network security, vulnerability management, and monitoring.
Develop integrated hybrid cloud architectures that bridge on-premises systems with public cloud environments, ensuring performance, cost-efficiency, and seamless interoperability.
Support business development by contributing to proposals, defining solution architectures, and presenting technical solutions to government stakeholders.
Facilitate technical discussions and workshops with clients to gather requirements and propose tailored cloud solutions.
Produce detailed architecture documentation, design blueprints, and implementation playbooks.
Evaluate and recommend suitable cloud services and technologies aligned with client needs and security requirements.
Mentor other architects and technical teams, offering strategic and technical guidance.
Oversee end-to-end solution implementation, ensuring conformance to architectural best practices and standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues during project implementation and ongoing operations.
Stay abreast of evolving cloud technologies, security trends, and policy changes relevant to the public sector.
Contribute to internal cloud governance frameworks, security standards, and best practice documentation.
Participate in industry events and thought leadership activities to represent and advance organizational cloud expertise.
Lead research and innovation efforts, identifying emerging cloud trends and technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud-based systems.
Manage cloud resource usage and identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
Establish performance monitoring frameworks and continuously refine cloud environments to meet changing business requirements.

skills and experience required

10yrs of IT infrastructure experience, with at least 5–7 years specializing in cloud architecture and implementation with a team management experience.
Demonstrated experience working with Singapore Government agencies on commercial cloud adoption.
Knowledge of cloud security concepts and technologies, including IAM, encryption, network protection, and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, IM8).
Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services.
Proven expertise in designing hybrid cloud solutions that effectively integrate with existing on-premises environments.
Strong foundation in cloud networking concepts—VPNs, firewalls, load balancing, and network segmentation.
Familiarity with security tooling in cloud environments (e.g., SIEM, vulnerability management, IDS/IPS).
Understanding of DevOps practices and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Comfortable to lead a team
