Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of Process Safety Management (PSM), Energy, and GHG systems in alignment with regulatory and internal standards.
Facilitate and monitor HAZOP and risk assessments; track implementation of recommendations to closure.
Drive improvements in Process Hazard Analysis, Pre-Startup Safety Review, and Management of Change processes.
Investigate process safety incidents, recommend preventive actions, and identify relevant safety performance metrics.
Oversee planning, budgeting, and execution of activities related to PSM and energy management.
Collaborate with process engineers to ensure adequacy of LOPA and other risk mitigation strategies.
Organize and support internal and external audits (e.g. SS651, IMS, EnMS, insurance) and ensure compliance.
Maintain documentation and reporting of HSSE data; act as caretaker for the Asset Management System.
Support Energy Manager / GHG Manager regulatory roles
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in process safety—providing consultation, training, and coaching across departments.
Promote a strong process safety culture and share best practices across teams and with global stakeholders.
Track actions related to safety projects and ensure timely reporting and follow-ups.
Take ownership as IMS Process Owner and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
A Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Process Technology
Min. 5 years of experience in a chemical or petrochemical manufacturing environment
Some exposure to operations or supervisory roles will be a plus
Strong understanding of risk management, local HSE regulations (e.g. WSHA, WICA), and standards such as SS506.
Proficiency in process safety design and risk screening is advantageous.
