The Role: Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a critical role in the full project lifecycle - from design coordination and procurement to site supervision and testing & commissioning (T&C). Key Responsibilities:
Engineering & Design Support:
Assist the Lead Engineer in technical reviews, site surveys, and vendor document approvals for PDS (MV/LV, 750V DC), PSD, and Vehicle systems.
Coordinate design specifications and procurement activities with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Liaise with the Client to facilitate the approval of design documents.
Site Supervision & Construction Management:
Supervise M&E installation works, ensuring strict compliance with safety regulations (WSH), quality standards (QA/QC), and project schedules.
Lead site activities including conducting Toolbox Meetings, issuing Work Permits (PTW), and managing sub-contractors.
Oversee materials logistics, equipment arrangement, and special tooling requirements.
Testing & Commissioning (T&C):
Drive the T&C phase for Power, PSD, and Vehicle systems, ensuring successful integration and handover.
Troubleshoot technical issues on-site and maintain accurate T&C records and documentation.
Requirements:
Education: Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in M&E projects, specifically within Power Distribution Systems (PDS) or Mechanical works.
Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in Rail, MRT, LRT, or APM projects (specifically with PSD and PDS systems) is highly advantageous.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of MV/LV switchgear, 750V DC switchgear, DC Chargers, Inverters, UPS, SCADA, and cabling.
Familiarity with Singapore Standards SS638 (Electrical Installations) and SS650 (Temporary Electrical Installations).
Exposure to vehicle refurbishment (bogie, propulsion, HVAC) is a plus.
Certifications: Work At Height (Manager), CSCPM, or BCSS certifications are preferred.
