Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead hardware design for complex signalling systems, with a specific focus on CBTC (Communications-Based Train Control) projects and Grade of Automation 4 (GoA 4) architectures.
• Prepare, review, and approve detailed design documentation, including wiring diagrams, bonding plans, cable core plans, and power distribution schematics.
• Perform rigorous electrical load and power consumption calculations to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of hardware design engineers, ensuring deliverables are accurate and met within project timelines.
• Lead design reviews, audits, and technical workshops with internal teams and external stakeholders to align on project requirements.
• Ensure all designs strictly adhere to relevant international standards (e.g., EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, IEC 61375, IEC 60204).
• Act as the senior technical point of contact during the installation, integration, and commissioning phases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in railway hardware design, with at least 2–3 years in a technical leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong proficiency in hardware documentation, design principles, and electrical calculations.
• Proven familiarity with CBTC systems is essential; experience with GoA 4 architecture is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
