In this position as a Risk & Compliance Officer, you will be reporting to the CEO and be involved in both risk management and the compliance function.
The ideal incumbent will be expected to develop, implement and maintain the company’s enterprise risk management framework, identify, assess, monitor and report key risks across operational, financial, regulatory, and strategic areas. You will be required to conduct regular risk assessments and scenario analysis to evaluate exposure and mitigation strategies and ensure insurance products, investments and operations comply with MAS risk management guidelines.
The successful candidate will be required to ensure the company complies with all applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, including those issued by MAS and the General Insurance Association of Singapore (GIA). You will monitor and review changes in regulatory requirements and assess their impact on the business, developing and maintaining the compliance policies and procedures. Additionally you will also be required to provide training to staff on regulatory requirements and conduct regular compliance reviews and audits; follow up on issues and remedial actions.
The incumbent will lead/support internal investigations on whistleblower cases and assist in the review of new business initiatives, products, or projects from a risk and compliance perspective.
