We are supporting a leading player in the petrochemical sector to identify a Senior / Mechanical Engineer focused on equipment reliability for their Singapore-based plant operations.
Role Overview
As part of the plant engineering and maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring high reliability and performance of static and rotating mechanical equipment through adherence to engineering standards, preventive strategies, and continuous improvement practices. This role is instrumental in minimizing unplanned downtime, leading root cause investigations, and driving CAPEX projects to optimize asset integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure proper mechanical maintenance of plant equipment to support safe and reliable operations.
- Troubleshoot asset issues and provide frontline technical support.
- Track and resolve recurring equipment problems using structured methodologies.
- Minimize unplanned downtime through effective reliability programs.
- Develop and implement quality maintenance checklists and standards.
- Manage asset improvement initiatives and support Management of Change (MOC) processes.
- Lead cross-functional teams for complex problem-solving and reliability enhancements.
- Scope and propose cost-effective maintenance and reliability solutions.
- Participate in HSSEQ initiatives and promote a strong safety and compliance culture.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years’ experience in plant maintenance within the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
- Strong understanding of both static and rotating equipment design and maintenance.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as API, ASME.
- Proficient in systems such as SAP, PI, Microsoft Project/Office.
