We are representing a prominent infrastructure operator managing large-scale energy and process plant developments. As part of the owner's technical and project development team, the Senior / Lead Process Engineer will be responsible for reviewing and validating process design deliverables provided by FEED and EPC contractors. The role spans the full lifecycle of brownfield and greenfield projects—from conceptual design to commissioning and handover—ensuring engineering quality, technical compliance, and operational readiness.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals who thrive in an owner’s engineering environment and bring deep experience across FEED and EPC project phases.
Key Responsibilities:
Support project development and execution by contributing to preliminary design studies, performing calculations, equipment selection, and preparing specifications.
Review and validate engineering deliverables from consultants and contractors to ensure alignment with the design basis, project specifications, and applicable international standards.
Contribute to the development and review of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, logic diagrams, and related process documentation.
Assist the Engineering Manager in ensuring design consistency and technical integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
Address and resolve process-related technical issues across design, engineering, construction, and commissioning phases.
Participate in process safety reviews such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL assessments, and model or layout reviews.
Work closely with operations and commissioning teams to support minor plant modifications and ensure process systems meet operational requirements.
Maintain and manage engineering documentation to ensure compliance with internal quality systems and project governance.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.
10 to 15 years of experience in FEED and EPC environments, particularly in oil & gas, chemicals, petrochemicals, or utilities sectors.
Strong technical foundation in process design, control strategies, and system modeling. Proficiency with simulation and engineering tools (e.g., UniSim) and hydraulic calculations.
Sound understanding of process safety principles and regulatory requirements for industrial plant design.
Hands-on experience supporting construction, commissioning, and operational troubleshooting will be an added advantage.
Familiarity with documentation control processes and maintaining engineering integrity throughout project delivery.
Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills. Must be able to operate independently and collaboratively in a dynamic project environment.
