As an Employee Benefits Broker, you will act as a strategic consultant for a diverse portfolio of corporate clients. Your primary focus is to design, negotiate, and manage comprehensive benefits programs that help companies attract and retain talent while managing costs effectively.
Your key responsibilities include:
Strategic Consulting: Conducting thorough assessments of client needs and analyzing existing programs to identify areas for improvement and cost-containment strategies.
Plan Design & Market Analysis: Researching the insurance market to identify the best carriers and designing customized benefits plans that align with client budgets and goals.
Negotiation: Leveraging your industry relationships to negotiate favorable rates and terms with insurance providers.
Client & Employee Engagement: Conducting briefings (in-person or virtual) to educate employees on their benefits and providing ongoing support to HR teams.
Claims & Renewals: Managing claim escalations, acting as a liaison with carriers, and performing detailed annual reviews and remarketing exercises to ensure plans remain competitive.

skills and experience required
Education: A recognized degree in any discipline and/or relevant professional insurance qualifications.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in employee benefits, preferably within a brokerage or consultancy environment.
Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of employee benefits products, with specific experience in International Private Medical Insurance (IPMI) being highly advantageous.
Stakeholder Management & Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an experienced background in building long-term partnerships across all corporate levels. You should be comfortable presenting technical advisory and engaging with a diverse portfolio of regional and local clients.
