About the JobSupporting the regional Legal & Corporate Compliance function, the successful candidate will handle a blend of legal administration, corporate secretarial coordination, and compliance management:
- Corporate Secretarial Support: Drafting board resolutions, keeping track of regulatory filing requirements, and maintaining up-to-date internal records across the Asia Pacific region.
- Onboarding & Compliance: Managing the onboarding process for new customers and vendors, conducting KYC and sanction searches, reviewing results, and preparing due diligence reports.
- Document Management: Organizing, naming, and filing legal agreements and administrative documents to ensure easy retrieval in line with internal conventions.
- Agreement Review: Conducting first-cut reviews of onboarding documentation and general administrative agreements.
In this role, you will report directly to the Head of Legal & Corporate Compliance for the Asia Pacific region.
Skills and Experience Required- Qualification: A university legal degree or a Diploma in Law from a recognized local or international institution.
- Experience: At least 5 years' PQE, with proven experience either as an in-house paralegal or Corporate Secretary with experience in KYC & Experience in the logistics sector is highly preferred.
- Core Competencies: An independent, self-driven worker who is confident in managing internal stakeholders and capable of working in cross-functional teams.
- Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, strong negotiation/conflict resolution skills, and the absolute discretion to handle sensitive company information with strict confidentiality.
