In this position as a Senior Broker, you will be expected to handle the wholesale market facing role and assist the facultative team in placement of risks mainly in Property, Casualty and Engineering.
The ideal incumbent will be required to develop and maintain a good rapport with clients and underwriters, prepare new and renewal business proposals and involve in strategy discussions.
As a Senior Broker, you will be responsible for confirming renewal/placement of risks with carriers in accordance with internal standards and ensure proper closure with carriers with complete and accurate documentation. Successful incumbents will also be expected to create new opportunities by actively sourcing additional business from existing portfolios and maintain a pipeline of potential expanded opportunities in regional markets.
skills & experience required
- 7+ years of experience in reinsurance broking - ideally in facultative
- Knowledge and experience handling property, engineering, casualty and financial lines will
- be an added advantage
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
