This is a key leadership role responsible for the Service Transformation and Governance of an organization's IT services. The Service Director will drive the design, implementation, and optimization of the IT service governance framework and core IT processes. This position ensures that service delivery is aligned with business objectives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence.

Service Governance: Develop and maintain a comprehensive IT governance framework with clear policies and standards. This includes establishing a governance committee and defining key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of all initiatives.
Process Optimization: Lead service transformation initiatives, leveraging methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and ITIL, to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Strategic Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, ensuring all service transformation and governance efforts are aligned with business goals. You'll communicate with senior management and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including business leaders and vendors.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations like ITIL, COBIT, and ISO 20000. You'll also promote understanding of these principles across the organization.
Experience: A minimum of 15 years in IT service delivery, with at least 8 years in a leadership role focused on service transformation and governance.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is required.
Expertise: A proven track record of implementing IT governance frameworks and driving transformational change. A deep understanding of ITIL and other relevant standards (COBIT, ISO 20000) is essential. Experience in the public sector is a plus.
Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are a must.
Certifications: Certifications such as ITIL 4 Managing Professional, COBIT 5, or Lean Six Sigma are highly desirable. Relevant security certifications like CISSP and an understanding of Agile or Waterfall project management methodologies are beneficial.
