This role is a leadership position responsible for spearheading a complete overhaul of IT service delivery. The core objective is to centralize and optimize all service functions by building an integrated Service Command Center. This leader will be the architect of a strategy to ensure end-to-end (E2E) service delivery excellence, shifting the focus from reactive incident response to proactive service management.
- Service Transformation & Strategy: Design and implement a plan to centralize all service delivery functions into a single, cohesive Service Command Center. Define processes to ensure accountability across the entire service lifecycle, from request to resolution.
- Proactive Monitoring: Build a robust, centralized monitoring and health-check system. Use real-time data and predictive analytics to identify and resolve issues before they impact users.
- Infrastructure Management: Lead the transformation of common infrastructure services (e.g., network, servers, cloud infrastructure) by standardizing platforms, automating routine tasks, and implementing a governance model that ensures resilience and security.
- Governance & Compliance: Develop and implement an IT governance framework for the new service delivery model. Establish a Service Governance Committee to oversee initiatives and ensure processes are compliant with industry standards like ITIL, COBIT, and ISO 20000.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, guiding them through the transition. You will be the primary advocate for the Command Center model and its benefits, ensuring the strategy is supported across all teams and business stakeholders.
