About the Job
This role is pivotal in connecting the Headquarter tax department with regional tax teams, focusing on the development and execution of significant projects and new initiatives. Key responsibilities include creating and upholding tax plans, compliance procedures, and risk assessment frameworks to ensure effective tax management. The role involves overseeing the preparation and filing of various tax returns (income tax, VAT, direct/indirect taxes) and collaborating with finance, accounting, and other stakeholders to guarantee accurate implementation of tax strategies according to national compliance requirements. You will be responsible for identifying, tracking, and reporting potential financial risks, working with accounting teams on solutions, and ensuring alignment on tax matters between HQ and local teams. The position covers the group's direct tax, indirect tax, and transfer pricing matters, including compliance, reporting, and documentation. Additionally, you will assist with research and implementation of tax initiatives, assessing the tax impact of business operations, and managing tax audits in close cooperation with finance. The ideal candidate is one who is a strong communicator, logical thinker and a team player.
Skills and Experience Required
A recognised degree in Accounting, ACCA, or an equivalent qualification, with at least 6 years of relevant experience. High-performing Big 4 tax managers who are looking to transition into a commercial role are also welcome to apply.
