About the Role
Based in the Singapore office, this position offers a fantastic opportunity to provide Singapore global mobility services to internationally deployed staff across a variety of industries. The role serves as a springboard to develop advanced consulting and advisory competencies. You will manage and work with an exclusive portfolio of clients, handling varying numbers of internationally deployed staff in and out of Singapore.
Key responsibilities include delivering a comprehensive suite of tax services, such as managing end-to-end tax compliance for companies and their expatriate employees. You will be involved in developing effective tax minimization strategies, identifying tax planning opportunities to minimize costs, and managing cross-border tax matters. The role also involves building and managing client relationships, conducting tax briefings for expatriate employees, and analyzing individual and employment tax laws. Furthermore, you will contribute to developing strategies for complex technical challenges, offering perspective on key global trends and their impact. Coaching peers and team members to foster their development is also an integral part of this position.
Skills and Experience Needed
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. A solid foundation of 3-6 years of relevant experience, specifically in Individual Income Tax, is essential. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong analytical skills, enabling them to effectively analyse individual and employment tax laws.
The role requires the ability to deliver a comprehensive series of tax services to clients, which includes managing tax compliance matters from end to end for companies and their expatriate employees, and identifying tax planning opportunities. Strong client relationship management skills are crucial for this position. Candidates should be proactive, with an inclination towards being involved in activities that help identify and research opportunities with new or existing clients. Furthermore, the ability to develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges is highly valued.
A collaborative mindset is key, embracing teaming and the coaching of peers and fellow team members to encourage their development. The position suits a self-starter capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously within a dynamic and high-energy environment. Excellent communication skills are necessary, including fluent spoken and written English and strong writing skills that may assist in content creation. Finally, while not mandatory, previous experience within professional services organizations would be considered highly advantageous and desirable.
