about the job
We are seeking a Trade Marketing Manager to lead our commercial strategy and execution across Singapore’s elite trade environment. You will lead and develop a team of two staff members, holding full accountability for translating brand ambitions into tangible volume and value growth. This pivotal role requires an expert who can define and implement fit-for-growth channel and shopper strategies across the most prestigious On- and Off-Trade accounts (including luxury hotels, high-end restaurants, and premium bars).
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Trade Marketing lead in the Sales & Operations Process (S&OP), predicting the impact (uplift, cannibalization) of promotions and events on sell-in and sell-out plans.
- Design and continuously refine all On-Trade and Off-Trade channel strategies and execution principles, grounding them in rigorous shopper insights and market dynamics.
- Direct the strategic planning and execution of all visibility and volume-driving programs in key venues (e.g., top hotels, cocktail bars, fine dining).
- Work directly with the Sales Leadership (Head of Sales, Commercial Excellence) to co-develop customer engagement strategies and support trade negotiations with robust, activation-ready assets.
- Act as the central link between Sales, Brand, and Trade Partners to guarantee consistent, customer- and shopper-centric go-to-market strategies.
- Coach and mentor a team of Assistant Trade Marketers/Specialists, fostering cross-functional fluency, an ownership mindset, and building overall trade marketing capability across the organization.
- Take full ownership of the Trade Marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of A&P and below-the-line spend across all programs and key accounts.
- Ad-hoc duties as assigned.
skills and experience required
- You should have a minimum of 8 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years dedicated to Trade Marketing or Channel Development roles.
- Industry Preference: Prior experience within the Spirits Industry or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) is a distinct advantage.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Demonstrated strong leadership skills, with a track record of effective cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Brand, and external partners.
- Financial Acumen: Proven experience in managing A&P budgets (Advertising & Promotion) and establishing metrics to effectively measure Trade ROI (Return on Investment).
