In this position as a Underwriting Medical Director, you will be working alongside with the New Business and High Net-Worth team to ensure the achievement of competitive underwriting outcome and providing expert opinion on complex claims assessment and medical claims adjudication.
In this position, you will play a key role in providing medical related advice and provide underwriting training to partners and internal stakeholders and reviewing existing underwriting guidelines. You will be expected to contribute your medical expertise to the design of new insurance products, advise medical trends and implications for product features.
It is essential for the incumbent to be equipped with medical background in order to understand and advise the prognostic implications of various medical conditions and the ability to make accurate and fair risk selections, leading to better-priced premiums and improved loss ratios.
