Randstad Singapore - the largest global HR solutions agency - revealed in a study that 42% of local respondents want a flexible work option of working from home and the office after the pandemic. A further 14% of respondents said that they prefer to work remotely from home all the time.
The Randstad Workmonitor survey highlights the greatest concerns and challenges candidates are facing in the employment market. The 2020 2H Workmonitor survey was conducted in October across 34 markets around the world, with a minimum of 400 respondents in each market.

Candidate and employee expectations are changing, and it is critical for employers to take actions to meet these aspirations. Even with the vaccination programme being rolled out in Singapore, the future of work has already fundamentally changed. The ideal of ‘remote working’ that we once had is possible. Employers will need to define work arrangements in the new normal and redesign their workforce structure to incorporate flexible working arrangements in the future, while retaining its organisational culture, positive work environment and work productivity.
The survey further reveals that 19% of respondents want flexible working hours and 11% want to work from home whenever they want.
