key responsibilities:
- Manage, nurture, and strategically develop a selected portfolio of important retail channel partners.
- Formulate clear short-term and medium-term commercial plans designed to accelerate brand growth and penetration within targeted retailers.
- Design, implement, and rigorously execute channel-specific strategies and trade promotional activities for major accounts to successfully hit sales targets, ensuring alignment with each account's market position and potential.
- Conduct ongoing analysis of competitor activities, submitting detailed monthly reports to track the frequency and nature of promotions across various trade sectors for strategic analysis and future planning.
- Prepare and submit all necessary documentation to retailers for new product listings, promotional campaigns, or required administrative forms.
- Establish robust, collaborative relationships and long-term partnerships with key retail decision-makers.
- Skillfully negotiate with retailers to align the company's growth objectives with the partners' strategic needs and commercial opportunities.
- Manage Advertising & Promotion (A&P) budgets with efficiency, focusing on monitoring ROI and overall productivity of spend.
- Collaborate closely with merchandising teams to ensure flawless execution of plans in-store and achieve optimal product visibility goals.
- Support localized negotiations at the store level when necessary to secure prime shelf space and promotional placement.
- Take ownership of key account receivables and manage finance billing and invoicing processes.
- Conduct other operational duties as assigned, including managing stock takes, returns, and product exchanges.
qualifications and experience:
- A Minimum Diploma qualification in Business, Sales, Retail Management, or a related discipline.
- At least 2-3 years of proven, relevant experience in Modern Trade channels.
- Experience specifically with cosmetics/beauty products is essential.
- Understands and is capable of handling tedious administrative tasks
- Comprehensive knowledge of the consumer goods industry landscape and market dynamics.
- A strong track record of success in managing various chain accounts, such as pharmacies, convenience stores, petrol kiosks, or similar retail chains.
- Possession of personal transport is preferred.
- Must possess a proactive, sales-minded, and solution-driven attitude.
- Excellent ability to work autonomously, demonstrate a strong orientation towards results, and possess sharp business insight.
- Capable of managing and prioritizing tasks effectively within demanding, fast-paced commercial timelines.
- Strong numerical aptitude for working with data and supporting decision-making processes.
