As an Associate Insight Director, you will connect strategy with research execution. Focus on developing client relationships, managing a retained project portfolio, and proactively driving new business. You must own your territory and revenue targets, ensuring top-tier client satisfaction. This dynamic role requires assisting Insight Directors with timely, high-impact insights while managing, training, and mentoring junior team members
key responsibilities
- Lead research design from objectives to fully annotated questionnaires/guides
- Work with data teams to identify patterns and develop "presentation shells" utilizing tables, visuals, and multimedia (e.g., Vox pops)
- Spearhead proposal and pitch creation, emphasizing clear USPs for securing work
- Manage project pricing, costing, and budgets, optimizing operational effectiveness
- Manage Insight staff, including formal appraisals, identifying development needs, and participating in hiring
- Identify new business in current accounts and maintain high client satisfaction for repeat business
skills and experience required
- 4+ years in ad-hoc primary quantitative and qualitative research, agency experience preferred
- Deep fluency in diverse research methods (traditional/digital); capable of advising clients on optimal approaches
- Proven commercial accountability such as managed revenue, KPIs, and project flow
- Experience with line management, delegation, and providing performance feedback
