The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving the growth and distribution of health insurance products through established intermediary channels. This role focuses on identifying new market opportunities, managing broker relationships, and aligning product offerings with client requirements to ensure sustainable portfolio expansion.
• Relationship Management: Developing and maintaining partnerships with insurance brokers and financial advisors to ensure the consistent distribution of health insurance products.
• Business Growth: Identifying and onboarding new distribution partners while implementing strategies to increase the market share of medical and health insurance solutions.
• Product Advisory: Providing technical product knowledge and updates to intermediaries to support the accurate representation of health insurance benefits to end-clients.
• Market Analysis: Monitoring industry trends and competitor activities within the Singapore health insurance landscape to inform business strategies.
• Process Coordination: Collaborating with internal underwriting and operations teams to streamline the quotation and policy issuance process for intermediaries.

skills and experience required
Candidates must meet the following objective criteria for this position.
• Experience: 5 years of professional experience in business development or sales within the Singapore general insurance industry, specifically focusing on health or medical products.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field of study.
• Certifications: Possession of mandatory insurance certifications including BCP, PGI, ComGI, and Health Insurance (HI).
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of health insurance product structures, underwriting principles, and the local regulatory framework.
• Communication: Effective communication skills for professional presentations and stakeholder management.
