As a Conflicts Associate based in Singapore, you will manage the daily analysis and resolution of potential ethical and legal conflicts to ensure compliance with global risk management standards.
- Analyse conflict of interest reports for new client matters and lateral hires to identify potential risks.
- Resolve identified conflicts by obtaining necessary waivers and drafting internal ethical boundary documentation.
- Review and edit engagement letters to ensure alignment with professional responsibility rules and firm policies.
- Provide expert consultation to partners and management regarding complex professional conduct issues.
- Supervise the conflict clearance workflows and maintain accurate records of all resolutions.
skills and experience required
- Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws and an active bar license are mandatory requirements.
- At least 3 years of practice experience ideally within a dedicated disputes or conflicts department.
- Extensive knowledge of conflict-of-interest principles and professional responsibility regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Proficiency in utilising specialised legal software and corporate research databases for information governance.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
