About the JobAs a key driver of growth in the region, this role is responsible for the development, structuring, and delivery of bespoke insurance-based wealth solutions across Asia. Working closely with UHNW individuals, family offices, and elite intermediaries, you will design cross-border wealth preservation strategies that align with complex investment and governance objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Client & Adviser Engagement: Act as a trusted partner to UHNW clients, family offices, lawyers, and key wealth advisers to deliver tailored succession planning solutions.
Business Development: Identify and originate new business opportunities, build a sustainable pipeline, and meet agreed-upon assets under management (AUM) targets.
Intermediary Relationships: Build strong partnerships with private banks, External Asset Managers (EAMs), trustees, fiduciaries, and tax advisers.
Solution Design & Delivery: Coordinate cross-border execution with internal teams and external partners (insurers, custodians, investment managers) while maintaining strict regulatory governance.
Market Development: Represent the business at premier industry events and distribute thought leadership to elevate the brand's regional presence.
You will join a highly collaborative, sophisticated, and client-centric team of wealth structuring specialists. The team dynamic is professional, commercially focused, and entrepreneurial, providing a supportive environment to execute complex cases. Reporting to a seasoned regional leader in wealth management, you will also leverage the wider global network of the Utmost group, particularly collaborating with top-tier banking and legal partners.
Skills and Experience RequiredExperience & Network
Proven track record working directly with high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients.
Deep experience within private banking, wealth management, or insurance-based solution environments.
Solid experience operating within the Hong Kong and/or Singapore markets and the broader Asian wealth landscape.
An established network of existing relationships with private banks, EAMs, family offices, and professional advisers (legal, tax, fiduciary).
Technical Knowledge
Strong understanding of insurance-based wealth solutions, including variable life and PPLI structures.
Familiarity with alternative HNW wealth structures, such as Trusts, FICs, and Singapore Family Offices (FOs).
Solid grasp of investment principles, portfolio-based solutions, and cross-border planning considerations (tax and succession).
Working knowledge of the relevant regulatory frameworks governing Asian wealth jurisdictions.
Qualifications & Attributes
Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
Relevant professional qualifications are highly desirable (e.g., CFA, CFP, or equivalent).
Appropriate regulatory licensing for Hong Kong and/or Singapore is preferred.
Fluency in Mandarin and English is required to effectively manage and communicate with regional clients and stakeholders.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a disciplined approach to business development and a high level of discretion.
