As the Senior Underwriting Leader for the region, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategies that elevate the firm's underwriting capabilities. Acting as the senior ambassador for these services in Asia, you will balance service excellence, operational scalability, and rigorous governance while delivering a differentiated value proposition to key clients. Core responsibilities include driving operational efficiency through the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence and automation, overseeing portfolio performance and risk controls, and managing complex client audits and high-level case referrals. Furthermore, you will forge strong partnerships with market stakeholders, translating client feedback and portfolio data into practical business enhancements and strategic growth.

skills and experience required
- Educated to a degree level or possessing equivalent professional experience.
- Extensive senior-level experience in underwriting within a life insurance or reinsurance setting.
- Deep technical understanding of underwriting across major life insurance protection products, coupled with a sound knowledge of industry regulations, risk management principles, and market practices.
- Proven leadership abilities with a track record in capacity planning, mentoring teams, and spearheading operational or transformational initiatives.
- Exceptional executive-level communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage senior internal and external partners.
- A demonstrated capability to make proactive, commercially balanced decisions in complex or ambiguous situations.
