This is a high visibility role for a legal professional to drive the legal and compliance function, providing critical support to the regional leadership team.
- Act as the primary legal advisor for regional operations, offering commercially-grounded guidance on strategic and day-to-day business matters.
- Lead the drafting, negotiation, and management of a diverse range of commercial agreements, including distribution, licensing, and procurement contracts.
- Oversee the regional intellectual property portfolio and ensuring robust brand protection
- Develop and implement internal compliance frameworks, monitoring regulatory changes and providing training to foster a culture of ethics and integrity.
- Manage corporate secretarial functions and governance standards across multiple jurisdictions to ensure full statutory compliance.
skills and experience required.
- Bachelor of Laws with at least 5 years of relevant experience in legal, compliance, or corporate secretarial roles.
- Proven track record in handling commercial contracts, compliance and intellectual property management within a regional inhouse environment.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance principles and the ability to navigate regulatory requirements across Southeast Asian markets.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to provide practical legal solutions that align with business objectives.
- Highly independent and detail-oriented professional capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
