Our client is a global Fortune 500 leader in food production. We are seeking a Plant Automation Engineer to join their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Tuas. This is a pivotal role focused on driving automation excellence within a high-volume food manufacturing facility.
The Role
As a core member of the technical team, you will oversee highly automated packaging operations and ensure the seamless serviceability of all production equipment. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between mechanical engineering and digital control systems to meet time-sensitive production demands.
Key Responsibilities
... System Innovation: Conceptualize and implement equipment to scale mass production for a wide range of ready-meal product lines.
Continuous Improvement: Enhance existing automated systems through mechanical, electronic, and digital control upgrades.
Operational Excellence: Lead the daily setup and execution of production systems to fulfill high-volume, time-critical orders.
Maintenance & Safety: Develop robust preventative maintenance programs and ensure strict adherence to high hygiene and safety standards.
Technical Leadership: Prepare documentation, conduct staff training, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth end-to-end operations.
Requirements
Education: Diploma or Degree in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a large-scale food production environment.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of food manufacturing machinery, including boilers, HVAC, electrical systems, and high-speed packaging lines.
Soft Skills: Proven ability to lead a team and manage complex production processes independently under tight deadlines.
Problem Solving: Strong capabilities in the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of PLC and automation systems.
Working hours: 5 days, rotating shift work
Location: Tuas, Singapore
