Our client is a well established, innovative tech company looking for Regional Payroll Specialist.
about the job
Reporting to the Head of HR, this is an individual contributor role. Your job scope includes but is not limited to:
- Manage payroll for the APAC region, countries includes Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, etc
- Ensure full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including local tax laws and statutory obligations
- Handle payroll-related inquiries to enhance employee experience
- Collaborate with external payroll service providers for efficient payroll administration.
- Generate essential payroll documentation, including journal postings, funding requirements, and monthly payroll reports
- Maintain meticulous and confidential records of payroll transactions and employee information
- Process government-paid leaves (paternity, maternity, childcare), tax clearances, and National Service claims promptly
- Conduct thorough payroll reconciliations, cost allocations, back charging, and handle payment processing tasks
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to manage payroll operations, reporting, and audits
- Identify opportunities to enhance payroll processes and contribute to continuous improvements

skills and experience required
- 5 years of relevant experience in payroll, preferably regional
- Accounting background would be highly advantageous
- Experienced in vendor management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented
- Work well in fast paced environment, innovative and resourceful
