This is a strategic opportunity for an experienced professional to manage complex risk portfolios and drive underwriting excellence within the casualty reinsurance market. You will be expected to perform comprehensive risk assessments and technical evaluations to ensure optimal coverage structures and sustainable pricing. Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with external brokers and regional partners to identify new business opportunities and oversee portfolio management activities including risk accumulation monitoring and reporting in line with international head office standards.
You will conduct in depth market research to analyze industry trends and contribute to the formulation of long term business growth strategies and collaborate with cross functional internal teams to achieve corporate financial targets and operational excellence.
skills and experience required
7+ years of casualty underwriting experience, ideally with regional exposure or experience handling Facultative risk and recognized industry certifications such as ACII or ANZII
Significant experience in casualty underwriting, specifically within a reinsurance or complex commercial insurance environment.
Deep technical competency in casualty risk classes and familiarity with portfolio modeling or capacity management tools.
Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret quantitative data and provide strategic insights into evolving risk landscapes.
Strong communication and negotiation capabilities to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and industry partners. Candidates with reinsurance broking background but keen interest to transit into an underwriter are welcome to apply.
