about the job
As a Savory Innovation & Culinary Ingredient Development Manager/Specialist, you will hold a pivotal, strategic role in shaping the culinary landscape for the Asian market. You will own the product roadmap from concept to commercialization, focusing heavily on core and specialty culinary solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving Strategy: Lead the culinary ingredient development roadmap for APAC, managing everything from raw material selection to optimizing processing technologies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with regional flavourists, application specialists, sensory teams, and culinary chefs to test performance, cost-efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
- External Partnerships: Leverage existing extraction capabilities while actively building and expanding a strong external network of regional manufacturing and sourcing partners.
- Niche Focus: Act as the subject matter expert in raw material sourcing, processing, and application to drive distinct value creation for the business.

skills and experience required
- Degree or higher in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline (or equivalent specialized expertise in savoury ingredients).
- At least 5 years (for specialist), or 8 years and above (for manager) of proven track record in Savoury R&D, specifically in developing successful flavouring ingredients or food products.
- Solid understanding of ingredient functionality, sensory evaluation, and food safety/regulatory requirements.
- Prior expertise or deep knowledge in chilli and allium ingredients will be highly advantageous.
- Mindset with the ability to work autonomously; project management skills to juggle multiple priorities; and top-notch communication skills to influence regional stakeholders.
