Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will manage regional finance operations by preparing month end closing of accounts, audit schedules, inter-company reconciliations, and both statutory and management reporting. You will be responsible for checking and verifying supporting documents for payments and liaising with suppliers for day-to-day financial accounting functions. Your responsibilities include preparing remittances and FAST payments via online banking systems, as well as handling cheque payments and compiling relevant business documentation for banking processes. You will enter accurate and timely data into the accounting system and maintain accurate financial records and statements. Additionally, you will record and process all business transactions using double-entry accounting principles, including those relating to inventory, accruals, prepayments, capital structure, and finance costs. You will record transactions relating to sales, purchases, receivables, payables, and cash while retrieving system reports for management use and performing ad-hoc administrative tasks as required.
Skills and experience required
- Degree in Accounting; professional qualifications like ACCA, CPA, or equivalent are highly regarded.
- Relevant years of experience in finance and accounting in a multinational environment.
- Strong technical proficiency in double-entry accounting, including recording transactions for inventory, accruals, and capital structure.
- Experience with online banking systems for FAST payments and remittances, alongside a detail-oriented approach to maintaining financial records.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with suppliers and manage day-to-day financial functions professionally.
- Advanced English verbal and written skills and experience navigating multicultural corporate environments.
- A detail-oriented and organized approach, with the resilience to work independently in a regional role.
