about the job
As the Senior Business Development Manager, you will shape the firm’s distribution landscape. Your primary mission is to design and coordinate the "go-to-market" strategy for the Financial Advisory (FA) channel, focusing on deepening partnerships with key local firms and established industry players.
Your responsibilities will include:
Strategic Growth: Developing a multi-year roadmap to grow the firm's footprint by identifying high-potential partners and creating tailored engagement plans.
Relationship Management: Cultivating high-level, strategic partnerships with management teams and product heads at partner firms to move beyond transactional interactions.
Market Insights: Reviewing market trends and regulatory shifts to ensure the firm’s product positioning remains effective.
Sales Empowerment: Designing sophisticated training programs and educational content to inform financial advisors on complex investment solutions.
Reporting & Analysis: Developing regular, comprehensive reports on channel performance and progress. You will be responsible for mapping out growth trajectories and providing clear projections to Senior Management.

skills and experience required
Industry Expertise: At least 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in business development or wholesale distribution within the Asset Management or Fund Management industry.
Proven Network: A strong, existing network of senior stakeholders and key decision-makers within the Singapore Financial Advisory (FA) or Independent Financial Advisory (IFA) landscape.
Strategic Mindset: A demonstrated ability to transition from day-to-day sales tasks to long-term strategic planning and organizational coordination.
Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of investment vehicles—including unit trusts, ETFs, and private market solutions—and how they fit into a holistic wealth management strategy.
Communication: Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to act as a subject matter expert at industry roadshows and events.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree is required. Professional certifications such as a CFA or an MBA will be considered a significant advantage.
