We are looking for a strategic and commercially-astute Senior Leader to spearhead the Professional Development division for the region. In this critical role, you will hold full financial accountability (P&L) for the department's performance. A key focus will be to expand the division's commercial success by boosting participation in training events, elevating the value for educators, and increasing revenue. You will be essential in mentoring and developing a team of ~12 FTEs, guiding the event execution team to manage expenditures effectively and deliver a consistently high-quality experience. This position is accountable to the global Head of Professional Development Delivery and requires an approach that aligns business targets with the organization's foundational mission.
skills and experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- At least 8 years proven experience in professional development preferably within the education, higher education, educational administration and programs industries.
- Leadership experience, with at least 5 years experience leading a team of ~8 direct reports and developing a team to ensure high performance.
- Demonstrated experience with full P&L responsibility, including budgeting and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of the foundation's specific educational programmes and administrator experience are advantageous.
- Advanced-level analytical, strategic thinking, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
- Experience working within a global organization and partnering with other departments to deliver results.
- Passion and strong interest in the APAC international education industry
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining cross-functional relationships, with the ability to lead through influence.
