My client, a market-leading global law firm, is committed to attracting top talent. As part of their continuous growth strategy, they are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Business Development Manager to join their local office.
This is a pivotal role within their global Business Development & Marketing function, where you will be responsible for driving business development initiatives for designated practice groups and partners, directly contributing to the firm's success in the region.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Business Development
- Work with partners to develop and implement a clear business development strategy and business development plan for the Singapore office and specific product groups.
- Lead and manage the firm's local client program, driving key strategic client relationships in the region where you will be instrumental in the execution of the firm’s Global and APAC Regional Client Programs
- Act as a proactive internal consultant, coaching and advising partners and lawyers to enhance their client and business development skills as well as managing and supporting the firm's client insights program
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and client-specific business needs. Use this intelligence to inform business development strategies and identify new opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with partners, lawyers, and business services teams across the firm's global network to connect people, ideas, and opportunities.
Skills and experience required
- Min 8-10 years of experience in a related business development or client development experience, ideally gained within a global law firm or professional services environment.
- A strategic thinker who can combine long-term vision with the ability to execute on day-to-day tasks with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
